Update on sacroiliac joint pain

Sorry been so long on update .

It turns out it’s not sacroiliac joints at all .

Long story short I ended up in hospital and MRI scan showed old fracture plus a couple of bulging discs ,

Now awaiting referral to come through for dexa scan and see osteoporosis specialist.

Currently using walking frame and can’t get out .

Blame for back problems according to discharge sheet ..... Polymyalgia plus early menopause and steroids 😳

Ouch! Not the news you wanted to hear. No wonder you were in so much pain. 😩 I hope you won't have to wait long to see the specialist.

Thank you me too but it was only when I got hospitalised they decided last minute to do scan . So not holding my breath . On the good news side though I have physio coming out to me weekly and that started the day after I got out of hospital 👍

Thank goodness for the scan. I hope the physiotherapy helps. Take care. 💐

It never ceases to amaze me how reluctant they can be to do imaging to get a better grip on what is going in.

Ouch - pelvic fractures can be very sore.

Hi . Not a pelvic fracture it’s t something on spine ( old fracture ) but can still give pain . Coupled with a few bulging discs which at times cause major spasms .

I agree re scabs etc I know of some who have pestered drs for a couple of years before finally getting on ,

In this instance I was lucky they took me in when they did 🤞

That sounds awful, thank goodness they did a scan - like gold dust it seems. Do hope it gets proper attention very soon.
