Webinar with Prof Dasgupta on immune response to Covid-19

We are very pleased to announce another webinar for our members, this one on the subject of Covid-19: an immune response gone wrong.

Professor Dasgupta will outline the body’s response to Covid-19, how the coronavirus evades detection by the sentinels of the immune system, how the later, frustrated, disproportionate response to the virus can sometimes overwhelm the patient, how anti-inflammatory, repurposed rheumatology drugs are trying to win the fight and how the miraculous, fast track vaccines' development and roll-out are ushering in a new dawn.

Professor Dasgupta is a leading consultant rheumatologist in the field of PMR and GCA and is president of PMRGCAuk.
