Increasing neck pain. Stiff neck. Blaming arthritic cervical spine. Remembered nights before PMR diagnosis going to bed with a scarf to keep my neck warm. Not able to use shoulders properly. Blaming osteoarthritis. Physio and exercises not helping that time or this time. Worse. The last few days other analgesics ineffective, although they still help knee.
Breakfast time here, just took 10 mg pred, by far highest dose in years. Nuisance as I only have 1 mg tablets but if it works....
Sigh.

I know you feel deflated Heron, but I wouldn't hesitate if I was feeling the type of neck and shoulder pain you're describing. You've been wrestling with a lot of issues lately, perhaps this will give you the relief you're body needs.
My goodness - you have been suffering since you got right down on your pred dose. I can't offer any advice, but I am sorry for you.The higher doses of pred certainly masked the painful arthritis in my ankle, but this has now reverted to normal now that I am on 1mg. 😫
Hopefully, you'll be the bearer of better news on the pain front when you next post.
Oh dear, sorry to hear that. If anyone knows what to do and how to do it, it would be you. I am so sorry that you have to make such an effort all the time; it's exhausting. I hope the pain goes away at least and you get to the bottom of what's happening with the knee. Thinking of you and wishing you all best. x
Guess this means mysterious reason for elevated CRP probably found, and I won't be able to reduce pred to 1.5 mg before next blood tests as doctor asked. Seems like CRP went up before reappearance of symptoms. Isn't it supposed to be other way around?
Oh dear Heron, so sorry you're having so many problems. Do hope you'll get some relief from the extra pred and as DL says, you could then reduce a bit more quickly. Very disappointing for you after your earlier pred reduction efforts.
Sorry to hear this, im like it atm pains all over !! feel a bit like a robot when moving ! Think being stuck indoors is playing apart of this for people. I am doing my allowed hour out of the house , but trouble is with all the aches and pains its hard ! Fingers crossed Spring is just round the corner. Make us all feel a lot brighter. Chin up xx
I'm so sorry for all you pain sufferers... it's miserable and this rubbish wet weather defo makes bones and muscles worse. When in pain I stiffen against it which makes it even worse so now I make myself go with the pain, lie down with head phones calming music or white noise, lavender pillow, try cold and warm microwave bean pads, anti inflamm tabs and creams, scream into a cushion, get immersed in a movie or bubble bath or five jaeger bombs, , and then when none of that helps, have a little cry... you're not alone as your replies show how much folk care about your suffering... there's hope on the horizon and spring on it's way.. I hope and pray the tabs help you find pain free peace... , best wishes Polly.
