A guide to how the immune system works - in Covid world.
Very interesting read, think I now have brain ache!!!!!!
What a fascinating (and entertaining ) explanation. Thank you.
Very interesting thank you. My first thoughts were wow, language I can understand, which made me realise it was good - Einstein allegedly once said you don't fully understand something unless you can explain it to your grandmother. But my brain couldn't take it all in so I'll have another go later. I like the phrase 'Immunology is very complicated' which explains why is is so difficult to find out more about histamine intolerance let alone a deadly virus
I'd like to Share you post to Facebook for a friend who has Lupus. Only Share to Twitter though
Anne
Sorry - don't understand what you mean? You could suggest to your friend they investigate LupusUK and their forum:
I shared the link, which is what you want to share, not PMR's post, surely?
Very interesting, readable. I read it just after a slight argument about boosting the immune system which a FB friend had posted. She is also, btw, opposed to mandating the use of masks. Seems to think that all we need to do is "boost the immune system" so we can effectively fight off coronavirus when we catch it. Sigh. So I posted it on her thread. For some weeks I've been waiting for her to unfriend me but so far she hasn't nor I her as I think I need to be aware of the viewpoints of others, especially those I consider misguided.
As the guy says ......it's all very complicated.............I hope I live long enough to learn what the outcome of all this research tells us. I wish it was a gin and tonic day!
You never know - it could be the course for you.!๐คช๐คช
PMPpro would join you if it worked.๐
Unfortunately not - I have discovered that not having a G&T improves the arrythmia. Never made any difference before. Will have to switch to prosecco maybe ...
Facinating, thanks, and very readable.
I made the mistake of asking out loud what a Rube Goldberg machine was. This sent OH searching the web and I had to withstand several minutes of examples before I could start reading. I will know next time.
Mine does that too ๐
Doesn't it drive you mad!
Bananas and nuts! Canโt help himself ๐๐
I love ๐ and ๐ฅ !... oh, thatโs not what you meant ๐คฃ๐๐คฃ
Bless him, he means well๐. Just not in the mood on bad days to listen to it all... He has a very sharp, enquiring mind... Not sure how we got together sometimes๐คฃ. Stay cool, itโs already 28 here๐ฅต
Iโve been to Pilates this morning - only 4 of us plus instructor, all windows and doors open, but still 24 deg in studio by 11.30.
Having a restorative cuppa and a (naughty) Bacon & Brie bap. With salad, natch!
Well done class... Naughty but yum... You deserved it after your efforts... You have my tastebuds raving for a Bacon & Brie bap with sides ๐๐๐
Other way round in our house - I look the stuff up ...
Thanks for posting! Accessible and interesting.
I love how he brought everything to a level that even my foggy brain could comprehend. I had to back up and read bits a few times as my mind wandered off, but got back on track very easily.
Like I've said many times... this is one scary virus!!
Having had my Lymphnodes out does it mean I have no T cells?
You won't have had all your lymph nodes out, just local ones They are all over the body, just like the blood system. However, T cells originate in the bone marrow and mature in the thymus. In the thymus, T cells multiply and differentiate into helper, regulatory, or cytotoxic T cells or become memory T cells.
Thanks for posting. Super interesting.
Yup! Donโt know. What should have and still needs to be the response to most Covid questions. I / we donโt know. That answer I can buy. Not all the fake stuff from people trying to have there 15 minutes of fame. ๐
Fascinating, thank you. I did the antibody test and got negative last week, but I am convinced I had the Virus in February. This article suggests that I may be right.
I wish all medical articles were as easy - and as entertaining - to read as this. I loved the imagery. And very informative.
Great, loved it, very informative and amusing in places x
