A reminder from nature that even in these strange times life goes on as usual....blossom on my plum tree.

It was Tuesday or Wednesday this week (all the days seem the same now...). It was sunny this morning but we’ve had a couple of proper April showers this afternoon and the temperature has dropped significantly. I also hope it’s not too early. It’s been a prolific fruiter every year since I came here except once when we had a very hard frost at the end of April.

It might have been. I can't remember exactly, maybe 2016? It's only happened once and I've been here 11 years.

It is amazing how trees keep giving. Blossoms then fruit then leaves can turn. Amazing. 🌻🐣

You know I don’t think I’ve ever looked at it so closely before. I’ve looked from my kitchen or the garden and have seen that the tree has suddenly turned white (it always seems to be very sudden, from one day to the next) but I’m not sure I've ever realised just how beautiful the individual blossoms are until now. I’m sitting under it just now having a coffee and listening to the birdsong....

Nor'easter on its way - temp dropped here to 14c and yesterday it was 19c.

Talking on the phone - friend in the Borders' and we both said, we have had a drought for a month here..........a couple of hours rain..........during the night. I am actually watering my pots.............grrrr - normally this does not happen till beginning of June.

Same here - bit dry! And no sign of rain. The snow melt is slow though - that helps it sink in up there.

Yes it's been very dry since the lockdown hasn't it....

Not really, I am still having a brandy and sometimes a hot chocolate with a Bailey's in it............I ran out of cream........................😉😉
