Hi was diagnosed pmr 6 years ago and have been on 2 mg Prednisolone last 18 months then tried very slow taper down to 1 over 5 weeks then started bad shoulder ache, top of arms and difficulty lifting arms and then scalp feeling sore. Over 4 days went from 2 to 5 then 7 then 10mg and last Sunday really worried GCA took 15mg. Spent 6 hours in A and E who confirmed test cleared not GCA. Drs app Tuesday last said to stay on 15mg for 2 to 4 weeks etc. As far as I know BT normal as surgery would phone if not. Have lost neck pain mainly but am very dizzy taccy and weird very wobbly and wondering if this was a pmr flare or not. Should also mention have Parkinson’s 9 years and on more medication Sinemet than 6 years ago. I just can’t function at all like this, so grateful advice please.

On what grounds did they say it was not GCA? What you are describing now isn't really typical of GCA - but there is obviously something amiss and they need to look into it.
I have to say - if I ever get to 2mg I shall stay there!!!
Have they checked you for a Flare in your Parkinson's as well as checking for signs if PMR or GCA?
This can also cause these symptoms.
