Hi folks

Just had my blood test results back and my glucose is down from 41 (pre diabetic) to 35(normal). I am reducing the steroids. I would urge everyone to have the HBA1C test to keep an eye on your levels

Well done to you. Are you doing anything else other than reducing steroids. I was diagnosed with type 2 and put on medication and went on a LCHF diet. 6 months into that I was taken off meds and now in remission

I put is down to exercise. I do Zumba Gold and it always makes me feel better afterwards.

My HB1AC was 48 two months ago. I`m going to be retested in four weeks and hope it has come down.

Are you doing anything to try to reduce your levels?

I’ve just started a Health Living Course, l’ve cut out bread/potatoes, given up wine & reduced my Sugar intake by more than half as l want to do that a bit more slowly ask think it might be too much of a shock to my system to do it all in one go!.....

I have cut out all added sugar - only have the sugar that occurs naturally in food. I eat fresh foods, cooked from scratch and have cut right down on carbs too. I don`t eat after 5 pm - nothing until 9 am the next morning. I`m trying my best.

Wow! That’s excellent! My daily’s cups of tea are reducing & darling husband is putting less n less sugar in until l just don’t want it any more!.....

We cook from fresh too, just sometimes at lunch it’s difficult when previously we’d have a sandwich, crust less bread but it did hold it all together!

Let us know your next result!

Good Luck 🍀

You were OK before 42-47 is pre diabetic. Getting to 35 is really impressive. How long did it take to go from 41 to 35? I thought our doctors should check for diabetes if we are on steroids. My GP is always wanting to check, I think they get paid something if they can get people who are pre diabetic or diabetic. They get given QOF points.

Hi

Not long. The next blood test a few months later. I do exercise though. It helps to burn up sugar.
