Itchy rash

I have developed itchy rash that feels like pimples under skin but nothing much to see. Mainly on my legs. Have been in preds for a year so I assume this is not allergic reaction. Using teatree oil - any other ideas please?

Have you been tidying the garden? I was thinking Ivy. Maybe the doctor should take a look, if it doesn’t clear up soon. E45 cream for itchy skin is good.

Allergic reactions to anything don't happen the first time you meet a substance but can happen at the second, the hundred and second or thousandth and second exposure. Or the fillers in these tablets may not be the same as previous tablets. Or it may be something else altogether.

Epidermis cream might be better than E45 for you. As it does not contain so much extra rubbish....preservatives and so on.

Try not using a fabric conditioner/ softener or 2 in 1, 3 in 1 (which include conditioner. Use non bio washing products, and if you are still itchy change to the brand ‘Surcare’.

Use fragrance and colour free soaps and shower gel. Eg ‘Simple’ brand.

Hope this helps. If it doesn’t you may have developed a food intolerance causing the itch. If so send me a PM.

Thanks all. I will try Epidermis cream as I think E45 makes me itch. I do sometime develop reactions after I have been using something for a while. Haven't been gardening but did forget to dilute fabric conditioner for a period so that might be it. I would know if I had scabies wouldn't I ? - scary little mites that lay their eggs on you - hence the tea tree oil.

If you Google scabies then select images you can compare.... Hope it stops itching soon.... Is it like chicken skin?

Ps if they didnt itch before. It will after looking at pictures. But you can look at loads of skin issues should the mood take you.

Yeah have Googled it but not sure also says sexually transmitted or in a nursing home or nursery which doesn’t fit - scary pics - not chicken skin - pimples but not as bad as that - maybe I will try pharmacist today only just seen GP

Good luck👍

I stopped using soap and started using an oil based shower gel, my skin was so bad and itchy!!!! I also use Dettol Antibacterial Laundry Cleanser (for sensitive skin) in my laundry. My skin is MUCH better!

What shower gel please? I just went back to soap to reduce plastic waste (could that be it?) Always use Persia non bio as others make us itch

in reply toDaffodilia

L'OCCITANE Almond Shower Oil... and yes I hear you, about the plastic, but they do sell refills (which come in a plastic bag!!!! ) 😕

Someone on this site said his dermatologist told him to use a disinfectant in his laundry for his dry, itchy, bumpy skin, that is when/where I first head of it! I use it all the time now.

I have had a similar itch since being on prednisone and find that a powder has worked the best to totally eleviate it.
