It’s been a week since I started Pred at 15mg. Blood tests did not show anything but how I feel now proves that it’s PMR. Much less pain, able to relax and enjoy my day. Learning so much from here and also noticing others round me need to learn too. That is ongoing. Seeing doctor today for check up. All is well at the moment.

Good news! I'm sure you have already read on this forum not to overdo activity, and not to reduce dosage too quickly.
Good luck!

If you were like me it was magic when I took the pred. I could hardly move before and suddenly I was back in the land of the living. Remember that PMR is life changing so you do need to slow down from before as the pred just covers up the pain, unfortunately it does not make you better. Pamper yourself and enjoy a slower life.
A number of doctors consider a great response to Prednisone diagnostic for PMR. There is no test for PMR and a good percentage of people don't have elevated blood markers. So you are right.
