Dr Adam Kay wrote this book.

On the wonderful PMR forum, nearly every day we have discussed DOCTORS....both their downfalls and their wonderful caring treatment..

I have nearly finished reading this amazing book, and thought others may enjoy going 'behind the scenes' with our healers..

It's an award winning No 1 best seller...Sunday Times

I honestly couldn't put the book down, and I must admit it's a bit embarrassing when I burst out laughing on the train at what I'm reading. 😂

Enjoy as I did. 🌹

Love this book - I downloaded it! Good to see the "other side" of being a doctor.

Yes - a truly excellent book. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. An absolute must read to get real insight into the NHS. I remember thinking he should have sent a signed copy to Jeremy Hunt, who was i/c the NHS when I read the book.

Sad he gave up medicine. I even have a signed copy as my sister met him at the Hay Festival a while back.

Piglette I was thinking exactly the same thing as you whilst reading his book.

Shame he gave up medicine..not too many of his honest character these days. 😢

He has a great sense of humour, together with a very appealing sympathetic attitude to his patients ..

I hope others will read this . It's an eye opener. 😂

Does the book just reflect the Doctors in England?

The UK as a whole I imagine - there are subtle differences as far as administration is concerned but medical school is the same and it doesn't matter where you trained, you can work anyway.

Yes it does ...Dr Adams spent most of his time training at a well known London hospital.

I loved this book. It has certainly given me a view from the Doctors perspective. I must say they do deserve more respect and pay for what they have to deal with.

I am on another book now. Max Pemberton Trust me I'M A (Junior) Doctor). It is also excellent and worth a read. At our last meeting in Ilkley we had a Bring and Buy sale for PMRGCAuk. Someone brought in the Adam Kay book someone else took it home. I hope they enjoy it as much as I did.
