I have no lung issues. This is crazy I waiting to speak with him in person! how does one know for sure they have sarcoidosis ???what is the test !!! I do have a pain once in a While on my right side of my neck(pulses) (throbs ) a few time a day. Anyone have this with the p m r

Sarcoidosis can be diagnosed by X-ray.

My sister has had sarcoidosis for years. It had been confined to skin lesions until recently when a shadow was detected on a lung film.

Yes thx for replay. How did it affect her ?? What drug is she on ? I have no skin just pulsing in the neck. I also have Pmr thx

Not sure, as we live apart and see each other a few times a year. (We try not to gripe about our medical conditions during our previous visits!)

She also has ulcerative colitis and suffers from migraines but those conditions predated the sarcoidosis.

Hi Mjhollywood1,

I have PMR/ GCA and Sarcoidosis. It showed up on an x-ray and they did a Medial Steinoscopy to make sure it was not cancer. This was 30 years ago and I had no further problems from it. The 'cure' back then was (you guessed it) corticosteroids. I did not take them at that time but the Doctor would check it on my visits. One symptom which I had was red 'bullseyes' in my ankles. I hope this helps.
