I have been warned about "scaremongering" and I am very sorry if my last post has upset or worried anyone, that was never my intention.

If it was your last post, I found the topic very interesting and thought provoking. Certainly no need to apologize.

Best, fm

The last thread that you stimulated was very helpful and informative. Nothing that I would regard as “scaremongering”. What scares me is ignorance my own and some of my doctors.

Your last post was informative and interesting. Most people want more information. Many people are getting very little from their rheumatologiats at diagnosis!

No vitamin D suggested.no Dexascans being advised - and generally tell people very little. I think most on here are bright enough to source a link if ones not given, or can ask the writer for one if sceptical about the information! We can’t all be wrapped up in cotton wool and protected from the facts about the disease we all have - that’s plain daft! I hope your future appointments go well and your find out lots of good helpful info from your knowledgeable doctor x

No need to apologise, that`s ridiculous to say scaremongering....you were relaying what your Endo said.....thank you for posting it!

What?

I’m not sure how relaying HONESTY from your endocrinologist can be regarded as ‘scaremongering’. It was a post which highlighted what many of us had thought for a long time. Plus the thread then generated some items of great interest.

To those of us struggling with this on a daily basis, this HONESTY does not frighten us, it gives us more chances for success, enlightens our discussions with medics, and highlights the way forward. What is more frightening is the evident lack of knowledge of some of our medics.

If you find out any more Marlenec, please keep posting!

I didn't contribute to your last post, but I followed it carefully. I've just read through it from your initial post to the last comment and can't find anything that a reasonable person could construe as 'scaremongering'. You raised an important matter that's of concern to any person who is taking steroid medication, since we all reach a point where the adrenals are meant to 'kick in' again, and for some the process is more problematic than for others. The need for more teamwork among specialists is relevant in many different areas and it was good to see it highlighted with regard to our conditions. So, absolutely no need for an apology.

Who on earth accused you of scaremongering. That is absolutely ridiculous and you have no need to apologise.

Since I found a report of the study involved I do find it rather difficult to understand how it could be construed as scaremongering! Any more than many of the things I have posted about in the past.

Hey babe, I don't see anything to upset anyone. Maybe I'm thick! Don't worry, it's a waste of energy. Love and hugs xxx

What worries me is who and the reason for warning you was,?? This is getting silly, we are all grown ups, and all eager to learn as much as possible about our condition ,

Not at all Marlene! Disseminating scientific findings for such an under-researched condition as this is not scaremongering.
