Hi everyone,

I'm tapering down at moment doing 6mgs one day then 5mgs another and so on. Its seems to be working for me.

Last few days thought I had vaginal thrush, think its due to the pred, had fungal infection on leg when on a higher dose. Anyway got the thrush cream and put a bit on well got up this morning dizzy, light headed feeling sick. I was literally staggering about. Felt so ill. Laid back down then the room was spinning. This as only come on me since using this topical cream. Does anyone know of interactions between Pred and clotrimazole please.

Hi Dappa

I've had treatment for Thrush when l was on Chemo & Prednisolone with no issues & l always double check everything for contra indications.

You may be sensitive to the Clotrimazole so l'd be disinclined to use it again until you can speak to a Pharmasist or your Doctor. How are you feeling now?

MrsN

Double check the Info/Data Sheet, I'm in France at the minute & can't access an NHS Site to check for side effects.

Good thinking Dappa, Sometimes things happen simultaneously by coincidence & we can be lead along the wrong path, so good you’re seeing a doctor.

Let me know when you get back, we’re just settling down for a TV Fest with my Son & Daughter in Law so will be up, l’d be interested to know what Medic thinks.

Sometimes our reaction can be dampened by the Pred so we don’t react as badly as we might otherwise.

Take Care & so glad you got an appointment tonight. Take the Cream with you to show Doctor.
