I spent the early hours of the last couple of weeks making these for my sister's Easter fund raiser. Each duck will contain a cream egg.
I reduced from 40mg to 20mg yesterday and finally got a night's sleep!
I really feel for those of you who have GCA and have to take the high doses of pred long term. I found the side effects difficult, but the alternative is awful to contemplate. So for all its problems it's still "Thank goodness for pred"

Ah these are wonderful, so cute. I don't knit much now as makes my arms worse, but crochet silly hats for children's oncology. I think it helps us mentally when we do something nice for others.
I'm currently knitting baby hats in bright orange yarn for a hospital appeal, 10 so far and 10 or 12 to go - depends how the yarn lasts. On the whole I've got over the insomnia - it's maybe once a fortnight rather than every night - but when it was bad I got through acres of knitting. Now, if I can't get to sleep, I take one 25 mg Sleepease from Boots. This is half the recommended dose and works for me.
