May I be cheeky and put forward a suggestion? which in my opinion would be a great benefit to each thread.
Would it be possible to give each post in a thread a number.
Just recently I wanted to refer another poster to an answer regarding something and I had to search for the post ( although it was on the same thread. )
By numbering the posts in each thread, I could just say, see post number .....1234...
Thanks

I would like to see titles with what the post is about if it is a specific topic to enable people to search it. If somebody posts with “bad day” in the title for example and it is about DEXA scans it’s harder to find again.
There are currently a couple of thousand active members of this forum. In the about 8 or 9 years it has been in existence there have been over 8,000 members and nearly 14,000 posts. And rather more replies!
Nice idea - but think its probably too difficult - HU covers a lot of other forums as well as ours. I imagine it could be a nightmare and very expensive - the programmes would have to be re-written, or at least amended.
Anyone who's ever worked with computers knows how long that takes - and the glitches it brings. Best leave alone methinks!
Not much activity over there any more. I noted for a time the most activity was threads complaining about the new format! Seemed to have been designed to discourage use.
It is still there and the complaints have stopped! It has been quiet and the moderator is trying to get through to the PTB that if they don't implement the promised changes they will lose the forums. It isn't just us!
I was one that gave up. Hopefully in the future, I will have a bit more time. It is a shame, factual, well policed information was the keystone of that site.
Hi! On the face of it it's a good idea but I'm afraid the system would break down pretty quickly. Just today we have had 20 new posts. But your idea has made me think perhaps we should have a little mention of post titles in the dreaded guidelines.
