I don't know. The past few days, I am so cold in my bungalow. Thermostat on 30 today, sitting with a shawl over my thermal pjs, and still cold. Had a cup of coffee, but no warmer.I have also been feeling quite 'down' and completely unmotivated. I haven't increased the Pred, as, with Addison's, I don't feel that I am sick.A real yuk feeling........

feeling so cold...thermo up...0n 7mg pred....is it addison's or 'just' old age??????????????
Oh dear, sorry to hear that. Can’t help, other than send warm ☀️ wishes that tomorrow you feel better.
Thanks DL. Have just got up now and will get into shower. Can't believe am so cold. Will try and potter in our communal garden, this afternoon, to see if the good weather will warm me up and lift my mood. x
Sorry to hear this Karools, I’ve been struggling with PMR Coldness too, it was one of the first symptoms l displayed at the very beginning. l find l need a scarf around my neck as my neck & face get very cold, plus l have the cold pins’n’needles in my arms & legs!
Try some soup for your lunch, l often find that very warming & an extra pair of socks.
Thinking of you 💐

Thanks Angela.x
I know the feeling and I'm with Angela about the scarf, a double blessing as it hides the pred neck! It's deceptively sunny here (Cornwall) but there's a very chilly wind - retiring to my little wooden shed to plant some veg seeds to warm up.
Hope a hot shower, hot soup, warm scarf and a bit of outside air will do the trick for you
So sorry you’re feeling chilled, Karools. That’s a miserable feeling. I’m not so bad after 4 yrs, but at the beginning I could not get warm, additionally, when I was hot, I couldn’t cool down. How about an old fashioned hot water bottle. Do they still sell those? 😄
Yes, I have an old-fashioned HWB which I use for low backache. I have had GCA 13 years and Addison's for 2 years.Thank you.
Hi there,
I have this felt scarf thingy that is filled with buckwheat I think. Anyway, you microwave it and put it around your neck or shoulders and it is a wonderful soothing heat that warms your whole body. At night I put it at the foot of the bed like an old fashioned foot warmer.
Also, that coldness you describe is always my first clue to slow down. One of my first GCA symptoms was horrible chills.
Feel better soon, spring is on the way🌷
Do you know that the suggestions given here are so easy/obvious, and didn't dawn on me at all. Yes, I have 1 of those bags that go in the microwave,Thank you.
You’ve had great advice about getting warm but as you have the Addison’s diagnosis, I would urge you to alert your doctor, just to be on the safe side.
My raynauds is off the charts since contracting pmr—I have about a 2 degree temperature swing to be comfortable. The worst part is that when I get cold, I just can’t seem to get warm. I thought it was old age and raynauds—perhaps it’s the pmr. Hadn’t thought of that.
I use to have cold hands and feet so cold that they were purple in winter. It was a circulation problem. I had many leg/foot ops for various problems. Finally, I had an artery bypass, and no more cold hands/feet. This sudden body coldness is new to me. I do hope you find a solution.
Doctor time I think. Whatever it is - it ain't right!
I was too warm with PMR originally - and then suddenly one winter I was frozen. Lasted a couple of winters and now back to something rather more reasonable. OH was delighted - he's always cold as Christmas - but now I'm sitting here in a sleeveless t-shirt and no socks. It reaches the dizzy heights of +7C in the pm but more like -9C overnight...
Am warm in bed, then when up, am cold.By late afternoon, today, I started feeling ok. My bungalow is well-insulated and am eating properly.
30 is high karools! I certainly feel the chills myself & have poor circulation in toes now. Much better when I'm walking about even when I don't fancy doing it! Must be my endorphins kicking in! Hope you feel better tomorrow.
Thanks PD. I feel ok this morning. Hope it stays that way.
Hi, where I live,... its winter. I snuggle in my woolie socks and flannel shirts. cold weather aggravates sore shoulders, hands and knees.
I drink lots of cups of hot water, keeps my hands warm.
