Morning all

Well, after waiting months to have my tooth extracted (paperwork got ‘mislaid’ ), the day has arrived. My OH has had a real stinker of a cold and cough and I was praying I wouldn’t get it. Guess what, I HAVE!! So - confined to barracks and feeling rather peed off. The receptionist informed me that the consultant is really busy so could be another long wait!

Bad luck. Hope the tooth doesn't give you too much trouble in the meantime. Like you I've come down with yet another bad cold today, so it's the sofa for me...

A couple of good British B-movies on Talking Pictures this afternoon, so I'll be enjoying them with a pot of tea and my knitting (and a fresh box of tissues).

Good idea. 🤧🤧

What a disappointment after gearing yourself up for it. I hope your cold gets better quickly, perhaps if you are taking Paracetomol for it your tooth may not trouble you so much. Love the picture, very apt. Please let us know how you go on when it happens as I should be due for similar, if not same, eventually. Good luck. D

Well... PMR/GCA under control, no UTI, no gastro issues, just a miserable head cold (like you), a bad knee and Neuropathy... Oh and I cant see s**t! 🤣

All's right with the world! xxx

Well, only fair you be on a cancellation list as probably someone has benefitted from your cancellation. Hope you can get this over with soon!

Oh Suet3942!! Awful when that happens!! Happened to me in November when I had planned to have cataract done but I had really bad cough and start of slight chest infection so I felt I couldn’t go ahead. I just have to tell myself that there must be some good reason I didn’t have it when planned and that the new date would be better ( which it was) Do hope that you will be able to perhaps get a cancellation ( is it worth making it clear that you are willing to accept a cancellation?) and that this will happen soon. X

😩 I'd be peed off too. Things can only get better. At least that's what I hold on to..... Currently losing my fingernails after Hand foot and mouth disease. Feet look like they might follow...... Keep strong x

Oh yes. The school dental bus called into the playground when I was 9 and he drilled all my perfect white teeth.... You win hands down. Hate the dentist and anything to do with teeth! X

How traumatic . No wonder you feel like you do. My dentist told me that people of my generation (70 in Feb) usually have awful teeth because the done thing then was to drill half the tooth away for just a spot of decay. So far I have avoided the denture route, but it is looming! 🦷🦷

I will be 72 in Feb, and I don't consider myself having bad teeth.I told my dentist I never wanted dentures ever. He said if I stuck with him, I never would. As I grew up in SA, I don't recall the dentist drilling most of my teeth away. I have only ever been to a SA dental practice...SA and UK. Simply the best!

I’m one of the unlucky ones. Weak teeth.

My stepdaughter only cleans her teeth in the morning and has never had so much as a filling. Shes 46 soon. Got strong teeth obviously.
