Citizens advice Bureau I think. There used to be specific charities but I believe that their funding was cut. Good luck, they are awful forms.

Ageuk offer this service.

<We help older people to claim benefits

Together with our national partners and local Age UKs, we help older people to know about and claim the benefits they’re entitled to, such as Carer’s Allowance, Attendance Allowance and Pension Credit.>/

Will they fill in the form if I give them details. My right hand is really shakey and so my handwriting is terrible.

Thank you

You could give them a ring and ask. Don't you have anyone else to help you?

I filled one in for my late mother years ago, I must admit the forms are horrendous, I made sure I photo copied it for use the next time. It proved very helpful.

When I came home from hospital I had a visit from the community occupational therapist. She identified which services I would benefit from eg physio therapy at home and also probably Attendance Allowance. She arranged for someone from the Department of Work and Pensions to visit me at home. He was really helpful and filled in the forms. It was granted a few weeks later. Good luck with your claim.

I will see if I can get an appointment with them. They have helped me get things like a shower fitted so they may help. Thank you

Age UK............... you sometimes have to wait a while for CAB (under funding - dare I say it - austerity).

My friend volunteers with the Citizens advice and she fills in those forms for people who have difficulty doing it themselves. If you go along to your branch they will do it for you. Good luck.

Go to benefitsandwork.co.uk; it's the Department of Work and Pensions website. It gives advice on AA. There's a phone number (0345 605 6055) where you ask for a claim pack to be sent to you. Mine's apparently in the post. Good luck. It would be interesting to learn how you get on as I'm just about to start the process.

Age UK will do a face to face appointment at a local office to help to do this.
