By 1pm I’m so exhausted that I can barely lift my arms or even move. What’s happening.

I’ve put myself up to 20 from 15 despite Gp advice. Feeling worried

Is this diagnosis of possible GCA still dragging on then?

No. The jaw pain went, but I’m feeling so unwell I know I’m not right

Do you have any other GCA type symptoms at the moment? Has the 20mg changed anything? This condition does have the ability to wipe one out which is horrifying when you’ve been active.

No. Still feel the same.

Sorry about the 20 questions. Are you on the Methotrexate, if so, have you had routine blood monitoring recently ie, full blood count, liver, kidney as well as the inflammatory markers?

I totally agree with you that feeling was a regular occurrence and so fatigued as well I really thought I had something else and that the tests had not revealed ! But I'm now down to 7m and the tapering down was not as bad as I expected, those symptoms do fade away but not completely, I still have pain and can't walk properly but nothing as bad as when this all hit me! So glad to be coming down, hope you feel better soon x

Yes and I’ve just been told that I’m now in renal failure too

Listen to your body, not the doctor.

You are doing too much in the mornings! Pred only manages the inflammation - the rest is up to you with pacing and lifestyle changes. That does vary from time to time.

Who has told you you are in renal failure? On what basis?

The GP. Based on 3 blood tests.

Yes - but what were the figures? I've explained in your other post though. Renal failure is a very serious condition and you would probably be requiring dialysis - so to chuck it in in passing at the end of a consultation makes it very unlikely that is how poorly your kidneys are working.

Ok. Thanks I’ll sort it out next wk. Have I posted this elsewhere?

Where you talked about the GP and her "You have renal failure..." comment.

I know where you are coming from. Just reduced to 10 mg and the chronic fatigue has really hit me hard again.
