Dear Dorset Lady.
Your tapering plan has been invaluable to me. Thanks for taking the time to post it on PMRGCAuk
Now down to 2mg/1mg
Your taper & Kate Gilbert's book are a tremendous resource

Hi Robin,
Glad to hear they both helped. 🌷
Many thanks from me too. G C A since Dec.2014 just introduced 1mg so far so good apart from arm muscle pain, maybe withdrawal or old age I am now 81 years old so can't complain,

Hi,
Just monitor your arm pain, as you get lower the “normal” aches and pains return (especially arthritis I found) - and sometimes it’s difficult to know the difference. The only way to know really is, if otc painkillers (tablets or rubs) help then it’s probably not GCA!
Take care.
Thank you, I will try paracetamol I have never suffered with arthritis or any other aches and pains. This feels it is in the arm muscle when i move or turn my arms. In what way could this be related to G C A. Thank you once again for your help.

I’m also a member of the Lady Dorset fan club! I love the easy to follow tapering schedule. I’ve tweaked it by starting at week 2 or 3 and repeating some weeks as needed. I take 3 weeks per drop. Going from 4.5 to 4.
