Red eyes
I have Theoloz Duo eyedrops on prescription. They are preservative free and for dry eyes that we have a tendency to. Have them checked out though by an ophthalmologist. We can’t really check our eyes too much with our conditions.
A bunch of shepherds giving you a warning!
sorry - couldn't resist...
What sort of red eyes? Is it conjunctivitis, due to dry eyes or a bleed?
I make my own solution 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt,to 1 cup of boiling water, bathe eyes with this morning and evening.l found this worked well when l had conjuctivitis,as well as being very soothing for sore, red eyes ,mainly due to certain plants and grass outside during the summer.(Definately not due to a rough night the night before,l should be so lucky! Boots eye drops are good too.PS,make sure the boiling water has cooled down first,l am sure you would have realised this.
I use an over the counter thicker than ‘false tears’ eye drops. However, have you had a diagnosis to know whether it is allergy, lack of tear film or conjunctivitis from infection or chemical irritation. My auto correct wanted to put in chocolate instead of chemical. Is this a sign?
Good morning lovely people, I too would like your thoughts on red eyes. My eyes seem to bleed a couple of times a week, alternate eyes. I saw Rheumy a couple of weeks ago, thought it may be due to steroids she didn't seen to know why?
I use visco tears for dry eyes and also boiled salt water when red.
I've reduced from 40mg to 8mg, diagnosed August 17mg.
Grateful to any thoughts. Btw, this forum is my daily bible, thank you xx
I have dry eye, they're sometimes red, and use Gel Tears, they're preservative free and on prescription. Without knowing why yours are red can't say except bathe them initially then see the doctor.
At my last eye exam, due to prednisone use I also get irritated eyes, Dr. told me, never anything like Visene just stuff like Refresh...fake tears...can use it as many times a day as you want....maybe a cool wash cloth for a few mins in the morn...
