Hi DL, I'm another who hadn't realised you were due for an op, so I am wishing you all the very best.

I took a bit of your advice last Friday while travelling to Minorca via East Mids Airport. Was persuaded by family to get airport assistance! Felt a bit of a fraud because I can walk ok, but what a difference it made. Virtually no queuing, and certainly no standing waiting, and straight to the airplane steps. Good advice indeed from yourself, as I felt much less tired/stressed after the journey. You were in my thoughts on Friday, and will be again for your op.

Diversion therapy! I had nurses telling me I shouldn't be on my computer when I was in hospital for 3 weeks - until they realised my BP was lower than when I hadn't been on!!

Am resting - only doing leg exercises before the effects of the pain killers wear off!

Had my hip done last year, they don't let you rest for long!

Glad it’s over, as you say the hard work starts now but it’ll be worth it. Keep taking the tablets & doing your exercises! 🤸🏻‍♂️

Glad the op is over; the only way now is up! Seriously though, I do hope it makes your knee a lot less painful, though it may take a bit of time. After two hip replacements, I think the most difficult was the physiotherapy, but it was essential. I'm sure you know that.

Sorry, a bit late seeing this, DL. I wasn’t aware that you were facing knee surgery and now I see that the op is already behind you. Best wishes for a smooth recovery. Hard work awaits you now, I know from my aunt’s experience. But she was brilliant with the exercises and surprised the consultant at the follow-up with how well she had done. She was soon back sequence dancing - no mean feat especially as she was in her 80’s! Here’s to you having as perfect a recovery!🍷🌹
