Glowing

Well I did glow today. Decided to read in the garden. Had a day off. I thought? After 15 minutes couldn't stand it. So got extensions cables out abd bliss with fan. Managed an hour then got bored. So decided to jet wash my decking (what is the matter with me. I nmust be mad). So message to all.... have a fan while in the garden. It is achievable when you need to relax without glowing. 😎xx

You seem to be enjoying yourself - there's nothing the matter with you we all do it - just the steroids keeping you on your toes - just keep pacing yourself and always have that fan on! :) :)

You made my day! Laughing hysterically. I don’t seem to have “days off” with such clarity or freedom (but would love one). Reading in the Garden would be a priority here, but I can relate to every word!

You sound like you are doing so well. A massive infusion of vit. D I bet. I love jet washing my paved patio - so satisfying. I get filthy though and I’m not going to entertain the men on the scaffolding in swimwear.

Oh don't be a spoil sport to these male workmen. 😆😆xx

I’ll be blowed if I am staging Love Island in my backyard. Actually the entertainment would be high comedy. 😂

I too discovered the value of a fan outside on my deck. It's wonderful!

This is a very funny thread. I can't believe how energetic you lot are!

We seldom need outdoor fans here. Live near enough the water we almost always have a breeze, if not outright high winds. 🌬

Where are you again Heron? Well my thoughts are get up and on with what is achievable. Unfortunately the next day tells me not. But I have to do things as I have no option. No OH. Thank God. My children all work and don't live at home anymore and have enough to do. But I enjoy a challenge. After all PMR and GCA give us all a challenge. Xx

I live very near Halifax Harbour (Nova Scotia). The down side is drizzle and fog quite often when it's sunny a few kilometres away!

I was brought up on the West Coast of Scotland. Near the coast. You could waken up in the morning with rain. Then beautiful sunshine later. Near the coast is the place to get. X

Yes, New Scotland does resemble the Old Country in a number of ways!

My lawn mowing adventure was it for me for a few days. Still feeling a bit stressed. We are looking at condos from time to time. So far seen three in our favoured building, which is very near our current home. The first one was too expensive and, although recently redecorated, would have needed major reno for me to feel at home in it - previous owner had very definite tastes which didn't coincide with mine, and it was a lot harder to deal with than simply changing paint colour. Second one was in our price range, but very overpriced for what they were asking. (They've already, less than a week since listing, lowered asking price by $30,000!) It was almost too much of a blank slate, needing almost everything upgraded including flooring. The one we saw this week was so nicely kept up, with high end appliances included and nothing weird, all very much neutral so we could move in and feel okay. But it faced north, so no sun to speak of except late in the day in the summer, and the view was of another apartment building. I wanted to see it anyway, knowing this, but was surprised at how closed in I felt. It was also the smallest, I think just that much too small. But my husband liked it. He and the agent sat on the comfy sofa while I wandered around trying to imagine myself living in the space, wondering where I would put the piano, and where could I store the art supplies, and guessing that the current owners don't read much.... The price was very good. I think the reason my husband liked it was because the furniture was so comfortable. One cannot make a decision based on someone else's sofa, but I think hubby was prepared to! But maybe the next unit will be right for us.
