Anyone take fish oil or krill oil to help with inflammation?

I had been taking fish oil for several months and a few weeks ago started taking a good brand of krill oil. Now this may just be a coincidence, but i have been attempting to taper from 6.5 pred to 6 for about 8 weeks and always felt achy so would just stay on the 6.5. Its been a month since I started the krill oil and Im back to tapering and feeling quite comfortable. Could this be helping? Im on week 3 of DSNS taper.

Maybe or it could be coincidence - it does tend to work eventually when you have tried the new dose enough times!!!

There was a question about krill oil ages ago, someone's daughter had insisted it was SOOOOOO much better than ordinary oil. I think the conclusion at the time was the main difference was in the price! But if it works for you and it isn't breaking the bank - go for it.

I had just been reading about the anti inflammatory effects of Krill oil and may well get some soon, thank you for the reminder. Omega 3 can’t do any harm. It’s difficult as there’s so many supplements to try. At the moment I’m on some Montmorency cherry capsules that were on special offer, I tried similar a few years back and it seemed to help then. The trouble is my PMR seems to fluctuate in severity no matter what I do, but I’m always keen to do something to get a bit of control. All good wishes x

PS seem to know more about the relative values of Omega 3 in horse diets-flaxseed/linseed advised there. The pony has a better/more expensive diet than myself-every vitamin/mineral is exactly balanced

same with my dogs....but easier as their diet is pretty much the same day over day.

Yes and I bet they are still excited and delighted to eat the same thing day after day unlike us....unless it was chocolate in my case! All good wishes

we have pugs, so "excited" is definitely an understatement
