So - by popular demand!

We have got together with the Rheumatology Department of Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth, to host a PMR and GCA day at the hospital on Saturday 2 June. The event will be looking at latest developments in diagnosis, treatment and management of PMR and GCA, at sources of information and support for patients, and at the legacy of the roadshows project. This will be the final roadshow event after more than a year 'on the road'. It will be entirely free (except for car parking on the hospital site!). Don't miss out - register for it online:

I would love to be there. Unfortunately I live in the US in Nebraska. I do hope some of this information gets posted to this site. I feel that you, in th UK are far more on top of this than we are here in the US.

If someone made a DVD of it I would definitely buy it. I used to arrange for conferences that I put on to be recorded, it went down well. This was with speakers etc. So it may not work so well will stands . Hope it’s a massive success.

I’ve booked my place and am looking forward to it!

I think a few from our PMR support group at Worthing are hoping to go too and it will be great to hear about the research and meet others who use this forum. See you there.

Would love to go, would catch the train from Horsham, but realise it’s when I am going away. Do hope it goes well, can it be videoed?

Have had 2 bouts of pmr, and probably it made my cataracts get worse sooner than otherwise. However just had the op to remove, 2 weeks apart, FANTASTIC result. Only problem, can now see all the decorating that needs to be done!!

Dear Kate, would love to hear about the outcomes from the roadshow - test developments in diagnosis, treatment and management of PMR and GCA. Is there any chance you could post the information on here? Thanks.
