I have been off from teaching for nearly three months and what a difference! I am realizing how much stress affects my PMR negatively. I have finally just now been able to reduce from 6.5 (was stuck there forever) to 6 mg pred (3 mg prednisone in am and 3 mg Rayos at 10pm at night). This was impossible to do until now due to the stress in my job. I feel so much better too! I suspect stress is what set all this in motion but who knows. Anyway, I go back to work in three weeks (I was out for shoulder surgery) but I'm looking forward to when I can retire in June. The only other difference is being in Florida and the sun, which has allowed me to exercise even more than than when home in Michigan. I can do Zumba, swim, jog, walk, ride the bike. It has been such a blessing!
