Has anyone in this community been diagnosed with PMR only to later find they had a form of septic arthritis due to bacteria in blood stream ? Have been researching the symptoms and they are very similar. Just wondering.

Hi scatter
I personally don't know if anyone who has mentioned S.A.. having looked it up it seems it primarily causes joint pain in one of big joints but can be in more than one. PMR primarily effects muscles vascular system as I understand it but can bring about bursitis and other issues. I have had bursitis in knee and ankle. I presume one could have both. If you have very painful join there are tests they can do to see if infected. Have you seen go with it yet?
There have been some issues On the forum with messages getting lost etc. I am not really much help but didn't want to.leave you hanging!!

Thanks for the reply. Was just doing some research and thought I would ask this group if it has ever occurred.
