Nothing much to report πŸ‘

That’s good eh. Don’t think it is dry eye drops didn’t help, probably age and me abusing them. Never off tabs & phone for long.

I was wondering if it could be prednisone or Amitripoline πŸ€”

Main reason I came on line is How are you all keeping. Good I hope.

I'm plodding on, thanks. Just tapering to 7mg, but in 0.5 drops this time, after my flare in the summer.

Sorry to hear the drops didn't help your eyes - I've just put some in mine when I woke up.

Fine. I am down to 6 going to five soon 😬. All been well I’ll be there on the 12th.

There’s a train that gets in Ilkly at 12. 29. Is it near the station.

Take care. πŸŒΉπŸŒΉπŸ€πŸ€

Perfect timing, Ronzy. The venue for the Ilkley meet up is only a 5 minute walk from the station.

Take care too.

Hello Ronzy; glad to hear you're doing ok.

I'm doing ok too - on 9mg tapering to 8.5. Some low days, and still a bit knackered, but generally not too bad. I used to have v watery eyes too. Still do, but that has definitely improved as the pred dose has decreased. Eye screening on Tues was encouraging. Fingers crossed!

Good luck w 5mg.

Thanks Bonny it’s probably down to pred

My eyes. Do you come down .5 a mouth.

Think I will have to slow down I’ll try 4.5 tonight. I’ll be glad now when I’m off pred.

Take care. πŸ€πŸ€πŸŒΉ

Ron, be careful with your reduction! You said you're on "6 going to 5 soon" and now you're saying 4.5mg. If you drop too quickly and have a flare, you'll have to increase the dose to who knows how much. What does PMRpro say? "It's not slow if it works" and "It's not a race to Club Zero"

You're the one who needs to have a care!

See you at the meet-up in Ilkley, all being well. (With hat in December weather!)

Hi Ronzy

I do come down by 0.5mg at a time, but rather than doing it by timing, I sort of 'fly by the seat of my pants'. Very slow and cautious.

I stay at a dose until I've felt ok on it for a while - less fatigue - and then I try coming down by more or less the Dead Slow Nearly Stop method, but 'playing it by ear' a bit. For example, if I've got anything on I'll stay at 9mg for an extra day or more: and if I'm having a quiet patch and feel ok, I'll go down to 8.5 for a day or two extra. Sometimes I try alternate days for a while. It takes weeks! Eventually I'll get to being on 8.5 all the time, and then will start the same process with 8.5 to 8mg.

If I feel really ill I might go up a mg for a few days.

It seems to work ok. The biggest problem is the fatigue, which I keep hoping will go away, but is taking its time and tends to get worse after a drop. Plan is to have another v quiet winter and then be noticeably fitter by next summer. As usual, fingers crossed.

You look after yourself.

Ron, you know I'm a rug-making 'bird'! (See above reply to Poopadoop re my Ilkla Moor experience.)

The torticollis resolved quicker than PMR.
