Greetings Polymalingerers, Pred Playmates and Tapering Techies.
Well, it’s THAT time again! Yes, another Friday evening on the exciting Journey known as Perhaps-I-might-linger-longer and Giants-are-all-righteous.
In rare reflective mood, I penned the enclosed last night and thought you might like to appreciate my elegant use of the precise art of what is known as ‘Poetic Rhythm’.
Here goes:
Twinkle, twinkle little Pred, how you keep me from my bed!
Magic tabs to ease the pain so, one day, I‘ll feel normal again.
PMR feels like a dreaded curse.
But, in Life, there are things much worse.
-----
Now, where are my magic pills?
Ah, yes, in the wardrobe still (ok, so that didn't rhyme exactly..)
One in the morning, another at night.
And a little ‘something’ to help in the fight (first 'glug'…)
----
Twinkle, twinkle, little, or, er, whaadever.
Actually, this other stuff is going-down bedder (clink, hic).
Just a ‘small’ one, etc etc etc.
WHERE’S THE CAT GONE! (sorry - I was interrupted)
----
Where was I? Oh yes - The cat sat on the mat. Or was it the dog?
Cat my dog, I blame ‘Brain Frog’ - GRRRR (ok, so I lost the rhythm a bit here too)
Anyway, WHO LET THE ****** CAT OUT?!!!
This isn’t funny..
Don't make me SHOUT (ok, I sort- of recovered it - Phew)
--------
I’m grumpy now - GRR, GRR, GRR :-(
It’s that bl***y doctor’s fault, I blame HER (pretty good rhyming, eh?!).
Anyway, what do THEY know? (um dee dum dee dum, etc - you can fill-in the gaps).
Ok, so I’ll just have another teeny-weeny one (glug, glug).
----
I am NOT so drunkles as thinkle peep (sorry, I blame my ‘new' teeth)
Just relaxshing a bit before I shleep. OK WITH THAT?!!
Now, WHERE’S MY DINNER?!! NO WONDER I DRINK, WITH YOU LOT AROUND!!
Humpphh, besht order-in a NICE BIG PIZZA. Yummmy….!!!!
---
Ok, that’s blown the poetry rhythmy thingamyjig - HA!
So, best finish the boddleyboo - a shame to waste it? (hic, glug, slurp)
BUT I LOVE YOU ALL! YOU ARE MY BESTEST FRIENDIES IN THE UNIVERSE!!!
The Peetsszhaa is here (hic). Got to go. Finish the Pome for yourself?
(end).
I'm sure that Bill Shakespeare would be proud - keep smiling on the Journey...
