Foggy head
Hi Rose1bud,
The foggy head is a common occurrence- unfortunately- both the illness and Pred contribute to that.
Not sure what dose you're on now, but looking at your first post when you said you were told to reduce every 2 weeks, I would hazard a guess that you may have gone below the dose you actually need.
Have you recently decreased Pred, and were you okay on previous dose? The other scenario could be if you've just reduced and the pains came on straight away it could be steroid withdrawal.
Thank u I am now on 15 mg started on Friday for two weeks I am also on Ridate35 mg one a week I have never had dexa scan my dr just prescribed them as well as desunin1 daily
Hi again,
Had this discussion re DEXA scan yesterday, guidelines say you should have one to see if bisphosphonates are required. But you should be prescribed VitD/Calcium tablets as a matter of course.
Perhaps you should request a scan - no point taking extra medication you don't really need.
I tried alend Acid a few times and got terrible hip and thigh pain. waiting scan results because refused to take it until scan done.
Then possibly you have reduced too far for now. Or too fast.
Mine aren't terrible but definitely another management and pacing issue. I'm at 10.5.
