Whilst writing could I also enquire into what was said about vit D levels?

Hi Ljhome...the next group date for Maidstone is 25th Jan 2016 11am to 13.00pm at the Hilton Hotel Maidstone which is between the Chilton Hundreds hotel and the new Next shop.I went for the first time last week and was informed that low levels of vit d can reduce the absorbtion of the pred.I did not regret going to the group as feel far less alone with this horrible illness. Hope to see you there.

Yes, The meeting in Maidstone is every month on the 4th Monday 11-1 at the Hilton just off the M20. So the next one will be on January 25th. We have only met twice so far in this format but it has been very well attended. You should be able to find the details on the PMRGCAUK website. You would be very welcome!

We did talk about Vitamin D levels because many people who get PMR seem to also have very low Vitamin D levels and I think that hinders absorption of some drugs too? Not everyone has been tested for this so we advised them to get tested . We also had a bit of a discussion about ADCAL which most people are prescribed.

I must add that we are not medically trained and so are only using our own experiences of the PMR journey.
