Bowen treatment

I keep reading about this Bowen treatment and it is like PMR i had never heard of it .Is there a way I can find out if anyone practices it in my Area( Northamptonshire)?

Obviously I can't say how good any of them is - the proof of the pudding and all that!

Ive just googled 'Bowen therapists in my postcode' and it came up with three in my area, just give that a go. Good luck!

I worry about Bowen being so over promoted on this site. One member who posts a lot is very much in favour of it but it is an unusual alternative therapy and gets too much airtime here in my humble opinion As does myo fascial pain syndrome while we are at it. We are NOT doctors on this site ( although it just so happens that I am) and we can only share our own experience, strength and hope.

Hi, in response to your remarks regarding references to alternative pain management, eg. Bowen, etc.

when I found this site, I was desperate for information and support regarding PMR, and how to live with this rascally disorder. I read all the posts, including yours, looking for magic bullets. Needless to say, such are not to be found, and I was left with no hope other than prednisone.

As it turns out, I am one of the proponents of alternative comfort measures, and Bowen therapy is one of the little Jewels I discovered on this site.

I have also used acupuncture, narcotics SSRIs, massage and chiropractic.

So to return to the original point, IMHO, if there is an alternative comfort measure available, and one wishes to try it, who are we, (etc.) to discourage its exploration!

I live in Northamptoshire and I go to a lady who lives just outside Uppingham . When I was looking for a therapist there was two near me this lady and one out Northampton way. look on the internet for Bowen therapists
