Angeline. I have had 3 Bowen therapy sessions, and they seem to help. Also gentle massage, heated massage and gentle chiropractic treatments have all provided relief.
I was having pain in my lower and upper back. Both sites were greatly eased by the heat and gentle massage techniques. Google Bowen therapy, and read about it.
It took a leap of faith for me to try the treatment, but I must say, I accept the efficacy even though I dont understand how it works.
Acupuncture is another alternative treatment with positive outcome.
My practitioners have all been knowledgable about PMR, quite a contrast to western doctors.

I don't really understand how it works (I do know some of the theory which is fair enough, just don't know HOW it works) - but it certainly did for me and for several other people I know. I don't care - I will try most things once if it isn't too silly or too expensive...
