Try rinsing the area down with cold water. I take toilet paper, wet it with cold water, and rinse the area (while on toilet) after every bathroom visit. Especially after #2. Takes extra 10 sec and I feel a lot better after plus reduce my risk of flare ups and yeast infections.

Sorry, perhaps I should clarify. Sometimes if I need a wee it triggers discomfort in my abdomen, then once I have wee'd there is a little pressure realise but often leaves me with abdomen pain for a bit. The main issue is after a number 2. Sometimes I could have no pain, go for a number 2 and then it will start pain in my abdomen and get cramps, almost like the feeling of something has detached when I went to the toilet.

Thanks

Hi there,

I know exactly what you mean, i get the same thing, but i tend to get it around the week before I'm due my period, i had a cyst in my left ovary years ago and had been in agony, i was left with it then i found out in Dec last year when i was in for a laparoscopy that the cyst had caused my ovary to twist and the cyst finally ruptured, which completely destroyed my ovary.

The surgeon did not expect this and he packed the dead bits of ovary down to one side best he could, but i may need another operation to remove it and the tube as i am still in a lot of pain leading up to my period.

I feel the pain the worst the first pee in the morning, doesn't matter if I'm emptying my bladder or my bowel, and i don't feel the pain whilst emptying its always afterwards, like very bad cramp pains but i have it only on my left side where i had the ovary problems, i need to sit for a good 10-15 mins crouched over and it sometimes eases but doesn't go away completely. The time it does seem to ease is when i start my period and I'm into my third day of my cycle, but the pain is there for pretty much that whole week before i start my period, and after going to the loo it's much worse.
