well I've found that I have to be more active even though I just want to lie down and distract myself from the pain. So after a hot bath before bed I take my prescribed drugs a d then take my cbd oioil and legal cannabis. Swimming every day is the best therapy for gaining strength and adjusting your focus away from the pain and into actively doing something about it I'm under a great physiotherapist who really gives me hope. Thank you so much for this, my doc has recommended swimming so its nice to hear that affirmed from experience. I find activity really worsens things for me but of course bodies need movement and strength so even though a lot of exercises have been a failure for me I have to keep trying.

You may want to check with a pain specialist to see if you can get some relief. I was able to get compounded pain meds that definatley sleep.

I'm booked for assessment with the pain clinic next year, well into next year tbh. I've actually been in hospital this weekend mobility was so bad and they were worried about potential paralysis. After 2 letters were sent to my doctor by a&e and 111, my doc has still ignored me. Im now needing to write a formal complaint and change my practise because of negligence. Theres just comes a point where enough is enough. Im.not getting the support or care I need in the slightest and its getting very late in the development of my symptoms 😔

I got the same in the uk they just don't care enough. When they can't find any answers then they don't know what else to do. I'm under a psychologist in Perth Australia after have to leave my abusive relationship which I believe started it all so its mental and emotional for me so healing has begun.

So sorry you are having these issues Emily , it’s really awful your GP is ignoring you . I’m not sure what your problems are , but to be in so much pain with mobility ( I have similar problems ) is bad enough but so frustrating too if you cannot rely on getting help without having to wait ages . I am having many problems with NHS some being a cancelled appointment with no reason given and can’t find out why , being discharged from another department and not knowing why and waiting months and months to be seen for a worsening problem . I do feel I am being abandoned by the NHS . Sorry, this doesn’t help at all with your sleep problem ! I am just having a rant . I do hope you get some relief soon and find a competent and supportive GP which is not much to ask after all .

Its just far too common an experience isn't it... I hope you do too.I did speak to 2 GPS recently who were very good so I'm chasing up to only see them from now on. Because even when you find one you have to try to see them and aren't always given them. Its also the battle of learning to be more assertive and being informed so you can have more infepth conversations because often they don't volunteer information. Hopefully will get there one day.
