Living with pudendal neuralgia and bipolar disorders

I am struggling coping with both conditions which makes my life intolerable at times , learning new ways to cope and having support would be marvellous and so helpful as I seem to be isolated from the world at the moment. I look forward to receiving news of the different programmes which Healthunlocked are bringing out . A better future for all of us suffering with pelvic pain and mental health issues .

Are you taking any medication for the pain? I am also struggling with pudendal pain, anxiety and depression. Im still looking for better pain relief, I know how you feel!

Hey,

This hasn't worked for me thus far, but I'm trying a exercise program for pudenda neuralgia, nothing will change unless you make physical changes in your muscle/tissue surrounding the nerve.

Google "DCT for male pelvic pain" it helps women too, there's many doing it as they're in the facebook group.

I've tried amitriptyline, Gabapentin & a pudendal nerve block, all of which did nothing. Gabepentin does help a little bit, but it's more of a mood boost than anything!

Might be worth looking into DCT, there is a women on youtube and it's helped her. I'm 6 weeks in but no ease in pain/symptoms yet.

Hope this helps, I really think specialized exercises is the way to go when it comes to this shit!

Just watched the video... so I am with good pelvic floor therapist who doesn't do internàl directly...she mobilizes my whole hip sacral and hip region and does pudental nerve glides...which has helped a lot and I am pretty much off the muscle relaxers however I will take one if I have a pain/tension flare up and I have a valium lidocaine suppository if I need it.....I will also look into maybe buying the dct program and do it lightly as she said in the video... I agree with a lot of what she says but personally I do think pelvic floor physical therapy has a role in helping and also for the support
