Real Chronic Pain.

Hi All I will start by saying I know your all suffering to,and I do empathise.

I have never been given a proper diagnosis,so I feel like I have Pelvic Pain, with some IBS. My symptoms are, every time I open my bowels which used to be 3-4times a day,but now are more like5-6 times a day,the pain increases. I used to suffer more at the end of a day ,when you put your feet up to relax, but recently the pain starts around lunch time severe, then just gets worse until I go to sleep. Which I take a Temazapam to get me to sleep then the pain ceases, which makes me think the chances are,it’s more to do with nerves, than IBS.

Before I go any further,I have had I think every test available, every specialist from one end of the country to the other,I think I’ve been through all the medication I can have right up to Ormarorph. And I’m still in pain. But the reason I’m here is because the pain is getting unbearable, and I’m now getting frightened as to what to do when I can no longer stand it. I’ve also tried nerve blocks.

I’m really hoping one of you can come up with something I haven’t tried,I will be forever grateful for any response.

THE PAIN IS SOOO UNBEARABLE,I WILL BE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL FOR ANY HELP.

Sounds like you have pelvic pain dysfunction with some nerve involvement so the thing to do is to go to a pelvic floor physical therapist to get assessed ...you should be on either amitriptyline ,cymbalta gabapentin or cyclobenzaprine for the pain... pain pills don't really work you have to use something that will disrupt the nerve signals to the brain so the pain won't be felt.... PT will give you stretching and breathing exercises which believe me help and also read a headache in the pelvis and pelvic pain explained... both of those books should help you understand it

I’ve paid to see a PT,and she seen me for a while then told me she didn’t want to take my money as she couldn’t help me. I’ve also been told medication don’t stop nerve pain,I’m on Pregablin and have been for some years now,but they don’t do nothing for me. So you may be right it’s nerves, that are taking over my life.

Ok.....I have a new idea. Are you in the states? An idea that just might be the ticket to help bring you pain releif and a return of your sanity. Maybe a cure but no promises.

Are you located in the USA?

Hi Shirley,So you are getting no better? I had another Sigmoidoscopy last Thursday, and it still shows nothing. So I tend to think I may be right, and it’s IBS/ nerves. I’m absolutely fed up with my life just existing of Pain.

I’m now at my wits end ,I’ve tried everything.

Did it start with a hysterectomy?

No,It started with just an uncomfortable feeling, over 10-12yrs ago and just gradually turned into Pain,so they thought it was Gall stones and I had my Gall bladder taken away, since then the pains just got worse.

So I believe that was my first mistake.
