Hi

I am having a Pelvic Vein Embolisation to treat pelvic congestion syndrome soon. I wondered if anyone could advise me with how long they were off work for post procedure? as well as any tips to aid recovery?

Very much appreciated

Took me 4 weeks to recover. It was painful and I was very fatigued by it, but I know my experience is not the same as others. I was told the procedure normally takes 20 -40 mins, mine took 2.5 hours. I had "post embolism syndrome ", which explained the flu like symptoms . Pain relief was gained by laying down , keeping blood from pooling . Where are you having the embolism done?
