Dogs pick up on all our emotions
Find some clothing to wear that isn't tight. Perhaps you have some pyjam legs or a larger size of trousers. No point in suffering with tight clothes. Been there do that. Then get your note pad and compose a letter to your surgery apologising for missing the appt. Saying something like you forgot to look at your list for the day and then rewrite on writing paper or a notecard and sent it pronto , perhaps when you take your dogs for their walk.
do you think you might have fluid retention? Or do you feel it is more to do with Certain foods causing the extra bloating?
Hi Rosepetal60.
i can only wear and have worn for years trousers with elasticated waists cos of ever increasing "waistline".no I dont think it is anything to do with fluid and I don't eat enough of any one thing regularly to be food orientated other than cereal with milk which I have now stopped too.other than an assumption of IBS and not being given any other reason and the fact that I have gained 2.5 stone on my stomach plus all the symptoms and lack of acknowledgement by gps I have had in the last 3 years tells me one thing as I have only been told what things are not and regarding my stomach that is nothing.its said that some conditions get mistaken for others.it took 2 years of going back and forth to my gp only fro another gp to arrange endoscopies which revealed recent diagnoses some of which are symptoms of another more serious condition.
thanks for the tip re writing a note.will do that today .
If I am reading this right, I'm thinking you are finally getting somewhere/ thinking somehow you are getting there. ( it took me 6 years plus to get something of a diagnosis). I wish you all the best. Just getting a diagnosis helps. But for me and many others"............ I don't know what the answer is. Good luck to you.
Hi Rosepetal60.
can I ask what you are diagnosed with that took so long to get a near diagnosis?im feeling a bit better tonight tho the abdominal pressure is still there (all the time)and it feels like Im wanting to go "for a wee" all the time.i went to the hospital this morning as advised by NHS 111 DR and they said I had blood in my urine, have had quite a few urine infections -protein in urine and blood in urine both on two occasions.what I don't get is why they say they cant feel how rock hard my stomach is.
I see you've not long joined the forum and you haven't written a profile so don't know what youre conditions are..im sure your advice Is going to be valuable to me and other members as it is sound advice.
i took my dogs out on a bus into town with the intention of walking around the town walls and get a bus home again.dropped the letter into the surgery and headed towards the walls, only got about 50 yards and my elder dog decided he didn't want to walk there.so about turn and back into town to catch the bus.
What are your symptoms? X
