Hi everyone. I joined recently and wanted to introduce myself. Figured I should do it soon since our Yahoo group is going away. I was diagnosed with PBC in November 2015. I’m currently on Urso and Fenofibrate. My ALP and all my other numbers are now in the normal range except ALT, and just found out I have NASH as well. I started a vegan diet 6 months ago and went in for blood work yesterday. Fingers crossed! Hopefully my new diet will do the trick and bring down my ALT.

Hi and welcome. I’ve been dx’d since 1998. I’m betting the vegan diet will help your numbers 🙏🏻 I’m a lifer vegetarian (never ate meat, fish, chicken) and my numbers have always been super. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season. Don’t push yourself too hard.

Hey there! Sorry I seemed to have trouble with this login and never opened it again until now. I’m glad to hear from a vegetarian! Kindred spirits. Not sure if you still read messages in this app but wanted to thank you for you kind welcome and support. Hope you are doing well.

Thought I would give an update. 😊 For the first time since before I was diagnosed in 2015 all of my numbers are in the normal range! Woohoo!! I have tried all sorts of diets, going gluten free, autoimmune paleo, the wahls protocol, and while all the things helped some, it wasn’t until I went vegan six months ago that I have seen such positive results. I have been eating a healthy plant based diet, limiting added sugar and carbs from grains. Lots of organic fruits and veggies, and it has worked.
