hi , I have been doing intermittent fasting for about 2 months, seems to have alleviated a lot of my symptoms. I got a diagnosis yesterday. I have been fasting with a very small window. Would love to hear how others are doing who have tried fasting….,,,looking for hope and strength to continue the fast

stamatiki I was diagnosed three months ago, I’m still trying to understand everything. I have been fasting for over a year, and I think it has helped my weight loss. I don’t know how it will help with PBC…I do have NAFLD and read that it might help reduce the fat..still learning. This group gives me hope!

Thank you so much for sharing! I will keep you posted on my intermittent fasting journey! I have hope that it is a game changer......maybe overly optimistic, but with the couple of months that I have changed my eating there has been a drastic change in how I feel! Would love to hear from some others who may have seen a long lasting change in their pbc with the use of fasting...........

I fast 16 hours, from my last meal. I usually drink herbal teas, warm water and lemon or green tea when I wake. I read you can have coffee or tea but nothing above 50 calories…so I don’t add sugar just some milk. I end up eating around 11/12…

FYI, green tea is not good for the liver.

I did intermittent fasting from 6pm til 12 noon the next day with just coffee and oatmilk in the morning for weeks. I got sick to my stomach so much every time I ate I checked in to hospital. Nothing wrong. Now I’d like to find a dietitian. Has anyone found a good one?

Hello Jlruggie, any improvements, health wise ?or on symptoms? In my experience with diet change it takes 4 to 6 months to see good effects
