Irregular antibodies in pregnancy

I wondered if anyone else had irregular antibodies identified when they were pregnant, and if it's related to PBC. Had my last baby 10 years ago, and during a routine antibody check, they found Anti-Lua antibodies. I was diagnosed with PBC last year. Just wondered if the two were related?

Not in pregnancy. I was very ill about 3 years ago and they thought after I might have Lupus. My ANA was posative. The rheumy did further tests and the AMA showed up then.

hi, I had irregular antibodies ina ll 4 pregnancies, but cant remember what they were. (long time ago) I know my 3rd daughter had to have a total transfusion as her bilirubin levels were off the scale. She had follow up for a year, and was very ill at the beginning but this was pre my diagnosis and nothing was every found in her bloods after a year.

If I had PBC back then, maybe some of my antibodies transferred until her own kicked in properly.

It has been suggested by a paediatrician and also gastro that i ahve her screened for all auto immune problems inc PBC / AIH which I have as she already has 2 auto immune conditions... But it is a huge decision to make and I need more info first.

I suppose to come back to your original question. Many of us jsut dont know enoguh about these conditions so are guesses are just that until someone does a substantial trial... x

I had ANA, Anti-Smooth Muscle and elevated ESR in my pregnancies. They thought I might have had lupus too. A lot of my blood went back to normal after having my babies except Igm.
