I was diagnosed with pbc ama+ in 2010 I currently take 1000mg urso daily. I didnt have any symptoms of pbc it only showed up when I was diagnosed with under active thyroid, I have had a bone density scan, ultrasound, mri and a liver scan, I currently visit the cosultant twice yearly as there has been no significant change.

Hello, You say there has been no significant change, so are you on Urso? If so, how well are you tolerating the meds? Do you mind telling me what your ALP & AMA numbers are? Do you have symptons now? I would appreciate your reply very much. I am recently diagnosed, & will have a biopsy Jan. 8.
hi i too have just been diagnosed with pbc through having high esrs of 65 and a positive ama bloodtest,
im not on any meds but have to see consultant in march didn't get much info regarding diet etc in fact its through this forum im getting most of my info a bit worried regarding taking meds as there seems to be conflicting evidence
HI WendyMarie
Yes I am on urso no side effects, havent actually got the figures with me and not one to memorize things, just know my AMA was +. I some times feel wobbly but just try to carry on. I havent had a biopsy yet as my consultant said a ct scan and ultrasound was sufficent at this time ??? .I sometimes feel a little in the dark with it but have found out a lot more via this site and internet.
Hi Dubdoll
I am fine on urso a little over weight but that is also down to the thyroid, dont read to much into things as they can become a little worrying.
