I replied to the question re this.

Please note I don't want to put a dampener on this subject.

I'm certain that at some point there will well be a new medical discovery that can actually do more for PBC patients than the current standard with urso.

study in progress until 2018 from what i can work out and does not claim to cure, possible alternative to urso for those who cannot take it, maybe.

who knows, we will wait and see, or join the research and be part of it if the urso is not working.

Hello, I would like to inform members of a new clinical trial for participants with Primary Biliary Cirrhosis (PBC). Intercept Pharmaceuticals is sponsoring this trial; over 60 centers in North America and Europe are participating. The trial is recruiting PBC patients who have been taking UDCA (URSO) for at least 12 months or are unable to tolerate UDCA and stopped taking it at least three months ago. A website with information about the clinical trial and trial locations can be found at pbc-study.com. The website also contains general information about participating in clinical trials and a frequently asked questions section. If you are interested in learning more about this PBC trial, or have a friend or relative who may be interested, please check it out.

Please note I am a representative of Intercept and am not able to respond to questions posted here.
