What 's a Christmas tradition in your own family? be it a food, activity or whatever π

Friday Fun Question
When I was a child my nan used to buy loads of goodies like biscuits and crisps and leave them in a cupboard and would say " these aren't to be touched until Christmas" I would keep opening the door to look at them and get excited until that one day (usually the week before Christmas day) she would say "help yourselves to some goodies now everyone" and we would all dive at the Christmas stash and pig out. Back in the 90's a tin of Roses or Quality Street (wrapped chocolates in a big tin to those of you who are outside the UK π) used to last for days and they would be passed around to everyone as we sat watching Christmas TV programmes.
Although my nan passed a few years back, we still follow the tradition of keeping a stash of goodies for Christmas and get the same tin of biscuits every year and it brings back good memories. I don't have the same metabolism as I did then so can't be too greedyπ
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas Donna and thank you for posting and keeping us all entertained.
Happy holidays to everyone here too! Here's to a wonderful 2025!ππ π₯°
We always have orange jelly with xmas pudding. Its wonderful with hot pud, brandy butter and cream. My mother made it to encourage me to eat xmas pud. My grandkids all demand it now. Happy Christmas to you all xxx
Happy Holidays, everyone! We had a wonderful few days with our grandkids (5 of them) before we headed off toward Florida. On Christmas Eve, we always have Acadian Meat Pie, a tradition that has gone on in my family since the 1700βs. The kids all love it.
