I just wanted to share with you some thoughts that really just impacted me yesterday. One of the things on my 'to do' list was to start writing my Christmas cards.

I went down the list of the names and addresses from last year. I came across the name 'Seley'. With just a quick scratch out of my pen I put a line thru the name. Both the husband and wife had died last year. I had worked with Leslie for many years. They were a lovely couple.

Down a few names more, I came across a friend from the hospital as well who had died during this last year. We had worked together for many years - even travelling to Germany together several years ago. Again, a quick scratch thru with my pen.

These are people's lives who have been part of mine. We all need to be thankful for our lives every single day - even on the 'not so good' ones. Seize the day!

Well said, Donna. I think many of us could do the same thing….every year, we lose friends and loved ones. We need to take the time to be mindful and grateful for every breath we take, and for all our loving friends and family.
