Taking Urso can often cause some stomach issues - bloating or nausea. Being a bile salt, it can cause many people GI issues until your body adjusts to it.

It's not always necessary to take your whole Urso dose right from the beginning. According to Dr. Jones, he often tells people to maybe only take 1 pill/capsule every day, every other day, or even up to every 3 days.

Working up to a full dose can make some time depending on the symptoms and the individual. It's ok to take your time getting to your prescribed dose.

Some take the Urso at night, as this may help eliminate your feelings of nausea since you are sleeping.

ALWAYS make sure you are taking the right dose of Urso when you get to your prescribed dose.

13-15mgs/kg of body weight It is ALWAYS prescribed based on body weight - NEVER on symptoms or lab results. Please, everyone, check to make sure you are taking the proper dose. This is so important. Almost half who take Urso are not taking the correct dose. This is such a crucial part of treating PBC.
