my.clevelandclinic.org/heal...

Personally, I always have a CMP (comprehensive metabolic profile) done along with a CBC (complete blood count) and my liver panel. A CMP checks on kidney function, chemical balances, and glucose levels. My hepatologist always wants to monitor my kidney function as well as my liver functioning.

My internist runs labs every 4 months, rheumatologist 6 months, hepatologist every 6 months and hematologist once a year. I’m well looked after, lol!

sounds like it.... I'm hoping your kidney function is part of it.

CMP is done with all my drs. Internist always does UA.

good! I don't want any of us to only be aware of what our 'liver' numbers are....kidney function and electrolyte levels are important too

True. I’m blessed with a great group of drs. I’ve learned from each one what they specifically keep a watch on.

Do you feel they communicate with each other ? This sometimes seems a problem for patients who see multiple doctors from different specialties. Does it seems a problem for you?

They communicate very well. I like the fact they are all in sync, if you will.

You are so fortunate for that communication with several doctors involved. Makes decision making so much quicker I would think. No time wasted waiting for another's opinion on a particular care plan
