Someone recently asked me about taking Urso after my transplant and the return of the disease for me. I can't find the post but I wanted to answer. I have taken Urso since I was 35 years old. I am now 73. I have had no real problems with it all these years luckily. About 25% of those who have a liver transplant have the PBC reoccur. It isn't the old liver that had the PBC- it's something within our bodies that attack those bile duct cells. My PBC returned (very mildly) about 3 - 4 years ago. I have been blessed with 18+ years of life!
