when you get itching does your skin also get hot? Been getting hot and seemingly flushed along with the itching. UGH!

That was most definitely the case for me ... which in turn intensified the itch !! I used to have to put ice packs on my feet which they melted within minutes ( my feet where always the worst )... but I also used Aqueous menthol cream on other parts of my body which really helped x

I found I got very hot, my hands even now are always hot. Like vicary I also used a menthol derma cream which helped for short periods of time. Depending on your age it may be worth checking if you are menopausal or peri menopausal. The specialist can also help with medication for the itch if it is bad. The first medication is Colestyramine a powder which is not pleasant to taste but for some people it works well. There are other medications available from the specialist and some new drugs in the pipe line specifically for the so called itch of PBC.

I got the itch before I was diagnosed with PBC I just thought it was age related but since taking urso I've not had the itch since. I do remember that I got the itch if I was warm I really struggled having a shower or warm nights in bed
